Senior Satellite Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

The Mission
We are developing a constellation of nano-satellites with thermal infrared cameras for automated wildfire detection, severe weather warnings and many other applications, as well as its own microsatellite platform for in-house and customer missions. After our FOREST-1 mission (launched in January 2022) and FOREST-2 (launched in June 2023), we are now working forward to launching a full orbital plane of 8 systems and integrating the next-generation satellite platforms FOREST-3 and GENA-OT-1.
We are looking for a talented Satellite Systems Engineer as technical lead for one of our missions, e.g. the ESA co-funded satellite-as-a-service mission GENA-OT-1 (currently Phase B2).

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer you will:

  • Be the technical lead of a satellite mission, as part of our missions-spanning systems engineering team
  • Communicate with customers and the European Space Agency (together with Project Management)
  • Prepare and coordinate technical reviews with space agencies and customers
  • Be responsible for verification and validation plans
  • Apply of end-to-end systems analysis and modelling and the subsequent allocation and management of technical budgets / tolerances
Relevant Skills
  • You have at least 3-5 years of work experience in Satellite Systems Engineering from Phase A to Operations
  • You have solid skills in Requirements Engineering and Satellite Architectures
  • You are an experienced Technical Project Lead
  • You are familiar with MBSE Tools (MagicDraw/Cameo, good to have but not mandatory)
