Satellite Operator (m/f/d)

Permanent employee, Full-time · Athens

The Mission

Munich-based OroraTech is developing a constellation of nano-satellites with thermal infrared cameras for automated wildfire detection, severe weather warnings and many other applications. Following the successful launches of our hosted payload missions, FOREST-1 in January 2022 and FOREST-2 in June 2023, we have achieved a major milestone in January 2025 with the launch of FOREST-3, our first fully in-house developed satellite. We are now focused on operating these satellites and preparing for our next major steps. This includes the launch of our OTC-P1 mission, our first constellation of 8 satellites (hosted payloads) scheduled for April 2025, as well as preparing for the launch of our second set of 8 satellites, OTC-P2, planned for the end of the 2025. As we continue to expand our satellite network and advance our in-house capabilities, we are looking for a talented engineer to join our team in satellite operations. The best candidate will be joining a very motivated and highly enthusiastic team of experts in the fields of mechanical, optics, electronics, spacecraft, and software engineering.
