Munich-based OroraTech is deploying a constellation of nano-satellites with thermal infrared cameras for automated wildfire detection, severe weather warnings, surface temperature monitoring and many other applications.
During our ramp up from small to medium batch sizes on satellite platform production with hundreds of in-house developed PCBs to be processed, automation of electronics tests is key to scale efficiently while maintaining our high quality standards for all flight assets.
To support upcoming projects, we are looking for talented technicians or engineering students to support the setup, execution, and debugging of electronics tests within our agile testing framework. They will be joining a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team of experts in the fields of mechanical, optics, electronics, spacecraft, and software engineering.

The Mission
What you’ll be doing
As a Working Student Electronics Test Operator (m/f/d), you will support the production and quality assurance teams. In this role you will:
- Execute electronics tests on actual flight hardware and test rigs.
- Debug and troubleshoot failed tests, identifying root causes in hardware or test setup.
- Support production engineers in setting up and maintaining test infrastructure.
- Help ensure reliable and fully traceable automatic tests procedures are followed.
- Assist in the design and soldering of ground support equipment.
Relevant Skills
We are looking for talents with a cross-domain profile between electronics knowledge and software engineering. In particular following skills would be beneficial:
- Good knowledge of ECAD and electronics design (Altium is a plus).
- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimete.
- Strong Python skills and general programming proficien.
- Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Practical experience in soldering (Paste and with a Soldering Iron).
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
- Experience with version control (Git).
- Fluency in English.
